web site review

Staff have been very busy recently looking at the way the Cork Griffiths website is working and what improvements need to be made, as with many jobs they are often much bigger that they would first appear and the whole process has taken much more time than expected and, is still in its infancy. Any suggestion about the site www.executive-recruitment-agency.co.uk - good or bad - would be very welcome. One recent suggestion from a candidate was that Cork Griffiths should use a different BLOG site instead of BLOGGER that would be better suited to corporate web sites- your opinion on that would be most welcome. We are trying to 'clean up' the site so a lot of old posts are going to be archived in some way, and we are undecided whether they should go on the BLOG page as part of our history or just filed away out of sight.

The Race is Cancelled

It is a great shame that the fundraising race scheduled for 20th May 2012 has been cancelled because the Chatsworth Helens Trust race course is water logged. Paul is feeling very deprived as he felt he was well on the way to a great time and was going to wipe the floor with Sarah! Sarah is actually feeling a little relieved as she hasn't done as much training as she would have liked to.Paul is now planning on signing up for 12 hour race event, run, canoe, cycle and hike - when asked to take part Sarah said she was busy that weekend!

Just one more piece of advice

This ad was on the back of a conference magazine that Cork Griffiths was involved in. We thought it was really eye catching and had lots of positive comments at the time.

High Flyers

This advert was in the in-flight brochure in the business and first class sections of a famous airline, we thought it was a simple but very effective ad.

Liverpool V Chelsea - a quality match

We thought you might like to see a selection of some of the adverts we have used in the past.
From time to time over the coming weeks we will post some of our old generic adverts.
The first one 'Don't miss any more quality matches' was used at a EN awards evening with Alan Sugar (and Paul Griffiths) presenting. The same evening as the awards Liverpool were playing Chelsea in a Champions League match.
This advert was a tongue in cheek way aimed at those football fans that would rather have been watching a football match than sitting at a dinner presentation!!

The Challenge has been set

The need to challenge myself and to challenge others at events like racing has always interested me. I find the actual lead time to the event stressful, I dont enjoy the anticipation of racing, and yet I do it! Paul Griffiths (MD) could take or leave all these events, he is very relaxed about the whole thing, and I think he humours me when I offer another challenge. With this in mind I have thrown down the gauntlet again, and I feel determined to beat him. Paul and I have previously raced against each other, raising funds through Cork Griffiths for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), the Childrens Hospital and wooden spoon amongst others. In 2010 Paul and I raced in a run/mountain bike, row across Coniston and a army assault course to finish (or finish us off!) in the Cumbrian Commotion. My team (two clients and myself) raced against Paul and his two clients from Jersey. The whole event took nearly 4 hours and for myself I though it was torture!!!! However, my team went onto to win by 6 minutes,  and I managed to gloat about this for a lot longer than 6 minutes.
This year I have asked Paul to race in the Helens trust 10K (5k uphill and 5k downhill) charity race at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire in May. Pauls times are currently better than mine by about 4 minutes so more training needed by me. Paul is racing for the BHF and I am racing for Helens Trust. Whoever wins will have their race fees paid for and an ample donation to their chosen charity by the loser.I will be setting up, nearer to the time, a Cork Griffiths vote for the winner BLOG.
We will have a photographer there on the day to show the winner off and I hope to download the pics the following day.
Happy training
